Fiorentina confirm Ribery’s departure

Fiorentina pronounced that Franck Ribery will go out the exit door as his deal reached its expiration date yesterday.

After playing for

Fiorentina

for two years,

Franck Ribery

revealed that he wished to stay in Florence, where Vincenzo Italiano is the new head coach.

The French winger was trying to prolong his stay, but the negotiations have not gone in the right direction, with the Viola thanking the ex-Bayern Munich star for the time he had in Toscana.

The club confirmed the two parties have parted ways on social media and Ribery should be on the lookout for a new club this summer.

The former Marseille hero joined Fiorentina in 2019 when he hit free agency and featured in 51 matches for his side.

The 38-year-old met the back of the net five times and contributed 10 assists but dealt with a lot of injury setbacks over the course of his time at the Artemio Franchi.
