Scott Parker set to exit Fulham in 48 hours & join Bournemouth

Scott Parker is poised to step down as Fulham's head manager in the next 48 hours and will be named as Bournemouth's new manager.

Parker is still in talks with Fulham about mutually terminating his deal, but those conversations are likely to be completed in the coming days.

The ex England international will then take over at the helm of

Bournemouth

, who have informed current manager

Jonathan Woodgate

that his agreement will not be extended when it ends on Wednesday.

Parker's Fulham contract has two years left on it. However, it is thought that he has already put together his backroom team in preparation for his new position at Bournemouth, while Fulham have begun their hunt for a new head coach.

The 40-year-old, who played for Fulham for four years, was appointed interim coach in February 2019 and, after failing to save the club from relegation, was promoted to full-time manager the following summer.

After a play-off final triumph over London rivals Brentford, Parker guided Fulham back to the top division at the first time of asking.

On the other hand, Fulham were relegated to the

Championship

last season following a dismal come-back to the

Premier League

in which they won just five games.
