Barcelona eyeing a move for Jose Luis Gaya
As per reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are analyzing their squad and considering recruitments for the summer transfer window to strengthen their team, with adding a left-back being one of their targets.
added Sergino Dest to their right-back last year and had him joined with Emerson. Now, however, they are on the lookout for a left-back; although Jordi Alba has been doing great, the Spain international needs to have a rival. The Blaugrana’s chosen figure is
Valencia’s
Jose Luis Gaya
as the captain has not yet put pen to paper for a renewal.
Mateu Alemany, who worked with Gaya at Valencia, is really interested in having him at Barcelona. They believe the 26-year-old is not only at a perfect age to join the elite of the elite but also a great player in defense and forward.
Although he is trying to be committed to Valencia, he has recently been disappointed by the way the club is being run.
He has met the back of the net one time and provided seven assists in 33 league matches last season. Barcelona are going to make an offer for Valencia’s academy graduate as the club is looking to cash in on some players due to financial problems.
Barcelona may use
Carles Alena
to convince Valencia as he and Jose Bordalas, Valencia’s coach, were working together at Getafe and he is a fan.
If he chooses to join Valencia, Gaya could have a clearer path to make a move to Barcelona.
