Manchester City planning to sign Ramos on two-year contract

The Citizens are closely following the Spaniard's contract negotiations with Real Madrid.

Sergio Ramos

is spending the last month of his contract at

Real Madrid

and he is yet to sign a contract extension with the Spanish giants. The 35-year-old will be available as a free agent in the summer and he has already attracted interest from top European clubs. According to

ESPN

,

Manchester City

are willing to offer Ramos a two-year contract if the defender doesn't renew his contract at Santiago Bernabeu. The Citizens are also keen to add an extra option which would be either the possibility of extending the contract for another year or playing a season at the MLS club

New York City FC

.

Pep Guardiola

is reportedly a big fan of the player and wants to add the experienced center-back to his team’s backline. Manchester City analysts believe Ramos’ performances are at the same level as those of younger players and therefore the club are willing to offer the Spaniard a two-year contract. Ramos demanded the same deal from Real Madrid, but the club are not willing to break their policy of giving over-30 players only one-year deals.
