English clubs interested in signing Coutinho

Barcelona’s Brazilian forward may be leaving the club in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona’s

Brazilian forward

Philippe Coutinho

may leave the club after spending an unsuccessful season at Nou Camp, according to the reports.

The Brazil international’s contract with the club will expire in June 2023, but because he has only 14 appearances under

Ronald Koeman

after his return from his loan spell at

Bayern Munich

.

The 28-year-old is going to miss Copa America after facing arthroscopic surgery last month, so his future destination and his decisions about his future will not be made immediately.

He joined the Catalans as a high-profile star from Liverpool in January 2018 and has scored 23 goals in 90 games. He spent the 2019/20 season at Bayern Munich, helping the German side win the Champions League, the Bundesliga, and the DFB-Pokal.

The reports suggest that Arsenal and Everton are interested in signing the Brazil international, but they have to wait until July before making any moves to see how his recovery goes on.

Despite his bad experience of playing at Barcelona, the club’s bad performance in the season and their failure in La Liga and Champions League may be the adding reasons for Coutinho’s decision about his future.

And the club, meanwhile, has shown interest in signing another player from the Reds as they keep an eye on Georginho Wijnaldum’s moves. Wijnaldum is set to leave the club as a free agent after his successful spell at Anfield.
