Balotelli frustrated as Monza failed to achieve Serie A promotion
Cittadella will face Venezia in the Serie B promotion play-off final, as despite losing 2-0 with Mario Balotelli on target, they beat Monza 3-2 on aggregate.

will have to decide on his future at the Serie B side after his side failed to achieve promotion to Serie A.
The 30-year-old striker was on target as
Cristian Brocchi
’s men were looking to make back-to-back leaps up the league ladder at the Stadio Brianteo, but their 3-0 first-leg defeat against
Roberto Venturato
’s side proved too much to overcome.
The striker arrived at the newly-promoted outfit in December on a six-month deal after leaving Nice.
Balotelli, in part, returned to reunite with several figures from his days with Milan, including owner and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, along with ex-coach Cristian Brocchi.
With only a short-term deal signed, questions around Balotelli's future will arise, but
Monzawill aim to go one better next term.
He has made over twelve appearances for the club including both play-off matches and has scored six goals helping his side challenge for Serie A promotion.
