Frankfurt having their coaching job’s ‘final talks’ with Edin Terzic
Sky reported that Borussia Dortmund interim manager Edin Terzic is on the verge of joining Eintracht Frankfurt.
Edin Terzic
has been
Eintracht Frankfurt’s most favorite candidate to be
Adi Hutter
’s successor, as per reports from
Sky
.
Hutter will leave the club in the summer transfer window to join Gladbach, and Terzic has emerged as the potential replacement.
"
According to our information, it's very likely that he will be the new Eintracht Frankfurt coach,"
Sky transfer market expert Marc Behrenbeck said.
"From what we hear, the whole thing could be finalized in the next few days. They are in final talks, but there is no agreement yet."
However, as speculations surrounding Terzic’s future are raising, Hans-Joachim Watzke,
Borussia Dortmund’s CEO, pronounced that the 38-year-old put pen to paper for an extension at Signal Iduna Park.
If he decides to depart the club, Dortmund would have to talk with him again. However, for now, he will continue his job as Marco Rose’s assistant.
"We're expecting that Marco Rose and Edin Terzic will work together, and we're looking forward to that. If someone makes Edin a top offer, then we'll talk. However, that's not our desired scenario," Watzke told Funke Mediengruppe.
Based on reports from Sky, Frankfurt are eyeing Gerardo Seaone, Young Boys’ coach, as another option instead of Terzic.
Raul Gonzalez and Oliver Glasner, however, are not pursuing their interest in competing for the job anymore.
