Berge

has earned a lot of admirers since joining from

Genk

last year and he is one of the players who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The 23-year-old has been absent through injury since the turn of the year but has managed to catch the eye - and with his current employers now destined for the Championship, he is now even more affordable with his release clause dropping from £45m to £35m.

The Norwegian has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the club in the event of demotion from the Premier League, According to

.

However, the Gunners are not alone and they could face competition with other clubs including

for the 23-year-old’s signature.
