Germany are going to start their qualifying campaign with three games against Iceland, Romania, and North Macedonia in Group J

.

"Toni Kroos has had to leave the squad due to an adductor problem that he has been carrying," the German FA explained in a statement released on social media.

"He will leave the team hotel to return to Spain."

While Germany are going to miss Kross and have wished him a fast recovery, Real Madrid are also hoping that injury does not keep him on the sidelines during a crucial period of the season as they are going to face Eibar on April 3 in La Liga and just three days later they will host Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
