Ralf Rangnick open to taking over Joachim Low’s role
The ex-RB Leipzig manager would welcome a management role at the Germany national team at the right time.

is open to the idea of being
Joachim Low
’s successor, with the 61-year-old departing after the European Championships.
The German tactician pronounced his departure after 15 years of service on Monday, with Rangnick keen on replacing him if he is offered the role at the right time. He also admitted that another role may be available for him at the national team.
"
It is a job which matters to anybody,
" he told
Sky
. "
In general, I can imagine many things. It is a question of timing. At the moment, I am free. Should the DFB call me once I am not free anymore, it'd be too late."
He added:
"I can very well imagine that a partnership with Oliver Bierhoff would be very prolific, especially for the future of German football
.
Rangnick is widely known for his name at the Red Bull company, having previously been the Head of Sports and Development at the organization, while he also coached
RB Leipzig.
The 62-year-old has also had an impact on Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralph Hasenhuttl, and
Jurgen Klopp
, with the Reds boss saying: "
Ralf Rangnick would do well at the DFB; he would be my first choice."
