Ancelotti gives injury update on the French midfielder
Everton midfielder will probably miss the FA Cup clash against the Citizens.
are set to face
Burnleyin a Premier League clash and
Manchester Cityin the FA Cup quarter-final. However, the Toffees will probably have to face the opponents without their midfielder,
Abdoulaye Doucoure. The Frenchman is out of action due to a fracture in his foot and it is not clear when he will be able to come back.
When Everton boss,
Carlo Ancelotti
was asked to give an injury update on Doucoure, he stated that he is still waiting for the medical tests results.
He said:
“I have to be honest with you, I don't really know what happened, they are checking. We will be more precise in the next few days.
“We are sure he will be out - and I don't know how long - but until the break and when we are more precise on the recovery I will tell you.
“Really, I don't know. It is an important injury but I don't know how long he will be out.
“We were without Allan for two months and Tom Davies did fantastic performances. We are also going to manage the absence of Doucoure, of course.
“He is an important player, he puts a lot of energy but I think we have the possibility to replace him well.”
