Schelotto reflects on his brief spell at Inter and their treble win
The ex-Nerazzurri midfielder talked about how he set Inter’s treble winners as his role models during his brief time with the Serie A side.

Ezequiel Schelotto, talked about his 2013 move to the Nerazzurri and their treble win before his arrival from
Atalanta.
The 31-year-old told
La Nacion:
“As a young man, when I arrived at Inter, I tried to do the things that great players did, because they had won everything.”
“Diego Milito, Esteban Cambiasso, Javier Zanetti, Wesley Sneijder, Dejan Stankovic, Ivan Córdoba and Christian Chivu had all won the treble with Jose Mourinho.”
“I humbly tried to follow the example set by all of them.”
“I’m 31 now and I continue to learn.”
“At Inter I learned that when you commit a mistake, you must try not to repeat it.”
During his time with Inter, Schelotto was given 13 appearances in which he scored one goal.
Before his permanent move to
Sporting CPin 2015, the Argentine was loaned to several Serie A clubs including
Sassuolo,
Parma, and
Chievo Verona.
Talking about how Milito discussed Inter with him, Schelotto added:
“Did Milito tell meabout Racing at Inter? Yes, of course.”
“Diego has done very important things at Inter, but his heart has always been with Racing Club.”
“When he came to Racing, he showed as a player and as a sports director how to win.”
“Milito is an idol, no one doubts him.”
Throughout his career, Schelotto also had the chance to play for other clubs including
Cesena,
Catania, and
Brighton.
