Tiago Tomasjoined Sporting when he was 12 years old and made his professional debut in July. Despite his lack of experience, Tomas has already been admired for his special qualities as a versatile forward. , Arsenal are set to win the race for the young forward and he will join the Gunners in the summer. Arsenal’s technical director, Edu, has been in direct contact with the player and his family and has persuaded them that an Arsenal move would be beneficial for the future of the young player. Tomas has a release clause of £52m, but the Portuguese club are willing to sell him way cheaper as a result of their need for cash amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Arsenal are hoping to sign the player for a fee of around £20m and use their chance to land a bargain.
