“Pogba’s injury will take a few weeks to heal” – Solskjaer

The France international left the pitch during the 3-3 tied clash against Everton due to a thigh injury he sustained and had to be substituted by Fred.

According to

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

,

Manchester United

midfielder

Paul Pogba

is out of action for a couple of weeks for the thigh injury he suffered against

Everton

, which led to the substitution of Fred.

The 27-year-old was aware of the fact that he would be limping off the pitch at the start of Saturday’s battle.

Solskjaer said: “

It's an injury that will take a few weeks to heal. He's just started his recovery, working with the medical staff and we'll get him back as soon and as safely as we can.

“Of course, Paul has been very important for us and we're not going to take any risks. [So it is] A few weeks definitely. You never want to be injured and, especially, now Paul was really finding his form and enjoying his football. For us, we just have to take as many points and wins as possible, when you lose players.

“We've been very healthy and strong for a long period so we can't moan too much.”

Although the Red Devils’ manager did not provide an exact time frame for his treatment, Pogba is going to miss this month’s games sitting on the bench.

United are set to go against

West Ham

in the FA Cup on Tuesday before locking horns with

West Brom

in the

Premier League

on the weekend.

Pogba has been in a rich vein of form this season, playing a crucial role in the club’s climb on the table. He received the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards in January.

However, Solskjaer has a lot of prolific players at his disposal to replace Pogba. Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Fred, and Donny van de Beek are possible options to fill the gap.
