Musacchio ready to 'give his best' at Lazio

Mateo Musacchio said he's 'prepared to put forth a strong effort' for Lazio after his move from AC Milan, believing it is an 'important chance'.

The Argentinean defender had battled for game time since

Simon Kjaer

joined Rossoneri in January 2020 and moved to Lazio this week.

"This is a very important opportunity for me," he said at a press conference. "I'm very happy to be here.

"I feel good physically, I arrive at this club with desire and hunger, I'm ready to give my best."

The 30-year-old Musacchio clarified he didn't require a lot of time to acknowledge a transition to Lazio and is eager about the following segment in his

Serie A

run.

“When the call from my agent came, presenting me with the possibility of arriving here, I spoke to my family and said yes in two minutes.

“They are a very strong team. The championship is tough, there are many well-equipped teams but we can do something nice, always taking one game at a time.

“Sunday’s match is the most important of them all.”

Musacchio needs to adjust to a three-man defense line at Lazio.

“At Milan, we played with a different formation and in Italy we talk a lot about tactics, but in football the important thing is to go on the pitch with attitude and desire.

“I’m a footballer who always aims to improve.”
