QPR boss regrets letting Eze come to the stadium

Warburton says that they made a mistake letting Eberechi Eze come to the stadium.

Eberechi Eze

who once played for

QPR

was allowed to come to the stadium and watch their FA Cup tie against Fulham. The club was then criticized for ignoring the lockdown and the ban on the stadium attendance. QPR boss has admitted that it was a wrong move to let him come to the match despite the rules.

“We know the situation that society is facing in this country, we are all very aware of it,”

“QPR as a club have stringent protocols in place that we apply very strongly to every single player and staff member.

“On this occasion we should have declined the request. It’s as simple as that. We made the error.

“Eberechi is an outstanding character. I can’t speak highly enough of him. He made a request, we should have said no.

“On this rare occasion we have made a mistake, it’s as plain and simple as that. It will not happen again.”

It wasn’t the first time that players ignore the lockdown and other COVID-19 protocols. FA is reportedly investigating about the details of the incident.

Eze’s teammates in Palace have not commented on what happened but their boss says that they won’t let any of their players break the government rules again.
