Reinier's loan deal might be terminated as Real Madrid is not happy

The player was sent to Germany to gain playing experience but Dortmund has not used him much in the line-up.

Michael Zorc

,

Borussia Dortmund

sporting director is eager to keep

Reinier

at the German club as reports suggest that

Real Madrid

would cut short the loan deal. The attacker joined Dortmund on a two-year loan deal last summer but he didn’t get much chance to play in Bundesliga.

“We have a lot of competition in attack,”

Zorc told Sport1 on the back of reports Reinier’s loan will be cut short.

“We basically don’t want to give him up. Of course, I’ll listen to everything. If someone is dissatisfied because he has too few opportunities, then you talk to each other, but we will not take the initiative ourselves.”

Real Madrid sent Reinier to Dortmund so he can gain some first-team experience but he has yet to make an appearance for Dortmund in Bundesliga, featuring only twice from the bench in the Champions League and DFB-Pokal. Real Madrid would like to send the player to Valladolid instead where he can have more chance to play regular football.
