Lyon striker interested in joining Atletico Madrid

The future of

French striker is still unclear, and several teams have expressed interest in signing

and The Hammers are already looking for his replacement. They are interested in Lyon striker

Moussa Dembele

, however, it appears that the interest is not mutual.

Reports suggest that David Moyes' team identified Dembele as a possible target. However, the former Celtic striker is not interested in moving to London, although he has not ruled out the possibility of leaving Lyon in the January transfer window.

are also said to have been in contact with the French club and have asked for the signing of Dembele, who still has two and a half years left on his contract with Lyon. Like West Ham, Atletico are looking for a striker to replace

Diego Costa

Atletico want Dembele on a loan deal, and the option to buy for about £35 million. The two sides have not yet reached an agreement.

Dembele also held talks with

in the summer after a brilliant season in 2019 and scoring 24 goals in all competitions. This season, however, the player has had a difficult time, scoring only once in his 16 appearances on the pitch.

Dembele

is currently recovering from a broken arm and will not be ready to return to the field until at least next month. Since joining Lyon in 2018, he has scored 45 goals in 105 matches he played for the team.
