‘When Juve put pressure on him, Dybala sh*ts himself’ - Cassano
Antonio Cassano is not pleased with the Argentina international as his future is raising questions once again.
Former Italy forward
Antonio Cassano
criticized
Paulo Dybala
, revealing that he believes the
Juventusstriker is asking for an amount he is not worth to sign a new contract and goes on to say that he “sh*ts himself” when he is pressured.
Dybala’s contract with Juventus is due to expire in 2022 and there have yet to be discussions surrounding an extension deal that raised the speculations of a move for the striker.
Andrea Pirlo
, however, tried to deny the speculations regarding his move, saying "champions like him are always fundamental in strong teams."
The 27-year-old striker has requested €10 million (£9m/$12m) per season in his new deal with which Cassano was not pleased with.
"
All his coaches at Juventus did not consider him necessary, so I wonder if he is a champion or a great player
," Cassano said.
"
For me he is not a champion, he does not make the difference. He has [scored] good goals, like I saw [Antonio] Di Natale and [Lorenzo] Insigne do. But if you want to take Juventus' No.10 [shirt], you have to be at a higher level.
"I have the feeling that, when they put pressure on him, he sh*ts himself!
"And then he asks for €10m per season? Oh, please!"
Dybala has pulled off a great performance in Juventus’ thumping 4-1 victory over
Udineseon Sunday and Pirlo praised Dybala and his role for the club.
“
We need Dybala, he needs us,
" Pirlo said. "
He worked very well during the week in training, we could tell during the match that he was in better physical condition and we kept him on to the end because we hoped he would score that goal.”
Dybala may feature for Juventus in the
Serie Aclash against
AC Milan, who are the current titleholders, as Alvaro Morata is out of action due to an injury.
