Atalanta to swap Gomez with Inter’s Lorenzo Pirola
According to reports, Atalanta are interested in signing Inter’s youngster Lorenzo Pirola as part of a deal for the club captain Papu Gomez.
has been closely linked to the signing of
Gomez
, who is now likely to leave Atalanta in January, and the excellent relationship that club president Steven Zhang has with Atalanta owner Antonio Percassi has made Inter feel positive about their prospects.
Atalanta is believed to be demanding a total of €10 million for Gomez and Inter may well make up half of the transfer fee by including an academy player as part of the deal.
The Bergamo-based club have grown interest in Pirola, who is on a loan contract at Monza in Serie B, but Inter Sporting manager Piero Ausilio has no intention to sell the 18-year-old.
