Barca midfielder set to join Getafe

Cadena Cope has claimed that

midfielder Carles Alena will join Getafe on loan until the end of the season.

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas is a great supporter of Alena and has worked hard to persuade the club to sign him for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman does not intend to continue working with Alena, and he has no place in his team for the rest of the season. Alena joined Real Betis on loan last winter, making 19 appearances for the club, scoring once, and returning to Barcelona in the summer. The 22-year-old midfielder has made just one start for Barça this season - the Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv - and has twice been a substitute in La Liga.
