Elgert believes Leroy Sane will level up his game with Bayern Munich

. During his interview, Schalke’s youth coach shed some light on why he believes the Germany international is following the right course, notwithstanding his recent discouraging performance.

Leroy is resilient and capable of criticism,

” said Elgert. “

Of course, no player likes to be substituted in and then replaced again. But that is also part of football. You have to cope with that and Leroy does, too

.”

Elgert is keeping in touch with the 24-year-old and believes the Bayern Munich’s officials don’t need to baby him, saying: “

I don’t think that Leroy needs my sympathy at the moment. He’s healthy, has a family and is a professional at one of the world’s largest and best football clubs. It couldn’t be much better.”

According to Elgert, Bayern Munich’s boss Hansi Flick plays a crucial role in guiding Sane on the right track.
