Dynamo Kyiv manager ,Mircea Lucescu, thinks that Barcelona will play better in defense in their champions League game this week, as Lionel Messi didn’t travel with the team.
Lucescu has built up a good coaching career over the past four decades. Leading Inter Milan, Galatasaray, Besiktas, Shakhtar Donestk and Zenit Saint Petersburg and now Dynamo Kyiv.
Barcelona’s three defenders, Samuel Umtiti, Ronald Araujo and Gerard Pique, are sidelined due to injury and the only center-back travelling with the team is Clement Lenglet.
Lucescu told in his press conference before the match to Marca: “Barcelona is Barcelona. The presence of Messi of course gives them an advantage in terms of the technical and offensive measurements. But his absence will make them play with a better attitude in defense.
“Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world. Now they are not having their best time. The Messi case creates an atmosphere of nervousness in the club. New strategy, new connections between players, everything needs time.”
Sergio Busquets is not travelling as well due to an injury and Frenkie de Jong will be resting after tough match against Atletico Madrid.
