Vasilyev: Mbappe seems more headed toward a way out of PSG

Sat 21 November 2020 | 12:56

Former Monaco vice-president believes that PSG star is heading out of his wealthy club.

Kylian Mbappe

has been linked with many clubs in the recent transfer market windows but until now has remained loyal to

PSG

despite big offers from Europe’s top teams.

Liverpool

and

Real Madrid

are both reported to be keen to see the French star in their squad but the financial crisis due to COVID-19 has complicated the transfer more than before. The 21-year-old has already managed to win many important trophies with his club and country but his thirst to gain more success has made speculations about his decision for leaving the Parisians in the future. Former Monaco sporting director who was active in the club during Mbappe’s transfer to PSG has spoken about the 21-year-old’s future plans as he is heading to the peak of his career.

“He is going to have to make very important decisions, and right now he seems more headed towards a way out.” He told Telefoot.

“Nothing is impossible. Kylian is young and what he wants to win is titles.

“Kylian is ambitious. He wants to win everything and break all the records.”

However, Vasilyev didn’t rule out a potential contract extension with PSG as Mbappe might be given a more lucrative offer from his current club.

“If tomorrow PSG propose an ambitious project, where he feels comfortable and with options to go further and guarantees that he can win everything in his career, he could renew,”
