Guardiola has extended his contract with Manchester City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has finally agreed to extend his contract with the club.

has reportedly extended his contract with
Manchester Cityuntil
2023
. Pep's current contract is valid until the end of the season, but he decided remain at the club for another 2 years. His second year contract will be conditional.
Pep took over at City in
2016
and has won the Premier League twice in the last four years, as well as other trophies, including the
FA Cup
,
Super Cup
and
EFL Cup
. Pep's only failure at City has to do with the Champions League.
In
Champions League, City have always been beaten before the semi-finals, but Pep hopes to end the curse this season.
Guardiola was
Barcelona's manager from 2008 to 2012, and in 2013 he took over at
Bayern. He has not coached any club for more than 4 years but is now in his fifth season on the Man City’s bench.
Pep
recently denied returning to Barcelona at a press conference, saying he wanted to continue working at City. Now he has made his final decision to extend his contract and will be on the bench for City at least until 2022.
Undoubtedly, Pep staying at City is not good news for Barcelona, as it will increase
Messi's chances of joining the club even more. It is said that City are now more serious than ever in making a tempting offer to
Lionel Messi
in January. Messi was set to move to Man City in summer, but eventually he stayed in Barcelona.
