Reina: ‘We must be satisfied'

Lazio goalkeeper expressed his satisfaction with the draw against Club Brugge.

Pepe Reina

said that he was pleased with the draw, though the match was complicated against

Club Brugge

.

Joaquin Correa

scored the opening goal for the

Biancocelesti

, but the host equalized the match with a penalty and got the 1-1 draw.

Lazio had a trip to Belgium without 12 senior players due to injuries and the positive swab tests.

"We must be satisfied, it's a step forward and a proof of the team's great maturity in a moment of great difficulty," Reina said.

"We put determination and heart on the pitch and we honoured the shirt. This is what I liked the most tonight.

"It was a complicated match, and we would have done something important with a win, but it was essential not to lose. Our spirit was great, and this match will help us mature even more.

"The 25 men in the squad are needed to cope with these moments, we must all be fundamental and whoever is available will do their all for the good of Lazio.

"There were many difficulties and what we did today was great stuff, and we must be satisfied."

After two rounds, Lazio is equal to Club Brugge on four points. So, the next two matches facing

Zenit St Petersburg

will be determining for Lazio's season in the Champions League as Reina said.

"This is a point gained because we know that in Europe the difficulties are greater," he said. "Now there's a double header against Zenit and we must be ready, because it will be decisive."

"Today we had to adapt because of the many absences, but when we are a full squad, we will return to a 3-5-2 formation, which is our system."
