to talk over a contract extension. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the contacts were made between two parties last few weeks and they came up with a contract worth €3m a season for the attacking midfielder.

was allegedly not pleased by the offer and his current contract situation has reportedly attracted clubs from England and Spain. The 26-year-old’s deal at Milanello expires in June 2021 and the newspaper mentions Manchester United as possible suitors.
