Matthaus: RB Leipzig should not be intimidated by Man Utd
Former Germany legend, Lothar Matthäus believes there is no reason for Leipzig to be intimidated by Man Utd, specially after their poor start in 2020-21
have not lost a single match so far this season and former Germany captain,

believes they can continue this fine start by defeating
Manchester.
So far this season,
Julian Nagelsmann
’s team have not lost a single match in their first 7 games in all competitions, and also leading the table in
Bundesliga.
But on the other hand,
Manchester United
did not have a good start in 2020-21 as they are 15
th
in the
Premier League. However, their morale is boosted up due to last week’s
2-1 win against
Paris Saint-GermainBut the former
German Midfielder, Matthaus
believes that Leipzig should be confident against Man Utd:

For Julian Nagelsmann and RB Leipzig, the next highlight is the game at Manchester United,"
he said
"The Bundesliga leaders are seamlessly building on the great last season. The team has become even more mature and grown up.
"After the departure of Schick and Werner, Poulsen and Forsberg are experiencing something like a second wind.
"The team now finish off games without taking unnecessary risks. The 2-0 win against Basaksehir or the 2-1 win against Hertha Berlin show that Leipzig are becoming more stable and that they are very intelligent at work.
"Anyone who made it into the Champions League semi-finals last season doesn't have to hide from Manchester United either. No matter how big the name is, the United team shouldn't intimidate RB Leipzig. Especially not if you look at the Premier League table. After five games, the English team are in 15th place. Only seven points and nine goals scored, 12 conceded are the meagre results at the start of the season.
“So Leipzig can definitely win.”
