Juventus squad isolating after two staff members contract COVID-19

After two staff members contracted coronavirus, Juventus' players have been ordered into "fiduciary isolation".

Juventus have confirmed their players have gone into "fiduciary isolation" after two staff members tested positive for coronavirus.

The Bianconeri, who host Napoli on Sunday, confirmed on Saturday that two club employees have contracted COVID-19, though they are not players or members of the technical or medical divisions.

In compliance with protocols, Juve say those who have tested negative for the virus are able to continue with "regular training and match activities" but are not permitted "contact with the outside group".

A statement read: "Juventus announces that, during the checks provided for by the protocol in force, two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

"These are neither players nor members of the technical or medical staff, however, in compliance with the regulations and the protocol, the whole extended team, as of this moment, has gone into fiduciary isolation.

"This procedure will allow all members who tested negative to the controls to carry out regular training and match activities, but they will not be allowed contact with outside the group.

"The club is in constant contact with the competent health authorities."

Sunday's opponents Napoli have had two players and a staff member test positive for coronavirus this week, which has thrown the fixture into doubt.
