.
Sam Kerr is a once-in-a-generation talent, a rare star in the galaxy, reaching the heights of soccer in Australia and abroad. At 28 years old, Kerr is already considered to be one of the best football strikers to play the sport, shattering records for both club and country teams.
With surpassing Tim Cahill's previous record of 50 goals in Men teams, Kerr is the all-time leading Australian international scorer both for men and women teams.
She is also the all-time leading scorer in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.
Kerr first entered the NWSL at just 18 years old in 2013, joining the Western New York Flash alongside American superstars Carli Lloyd and Abby Wambach.
The Australian’s shiny season, however, came in 2017 with Sky Blue FC after two years with the club. During the 2017 season, Sam Kerr scored a record-breaking 17 goals and earned the Golden Boot and MVP awards.
The year also included an instant-classic match, with Kerr notching four goals in one half to overcome a 3-0 deficit to defeat Seattle Reign 5-4.
Sam Kerr is the only female football player in the history to have won the Golden Boot in three different leagues and three different continents. She has this title in the W-League (Australia) in 2017–18 and 2018–19 season, in the NWSL (North America) in 2017, 2018, 2019 and the FAWSL (Europe) in 2020–21.
She scored many beautiful goals in NWSL and fans never forget her career. On the 4th of September, 2016, she scored a goal for sky blue fc. The Sky Blue era of Sam Kerr’s career is surly nostalgic for NWSL fans.
The defense allows a short corner to be taken which then leads to Kerr lining up the shot. She makes a split decision to let the ball run across. It is all timing and technique. The ball flew into the far corner, simply a great strike for the golden boot Sam.
On 20 October 2019, Sam scored an amazing goal for
Chicago Red Starsand road them to the NWSL final.
Kerr signals she wants the ball over the top and Nagasato plays a perfect ball into her path. The Aussie managed to size up her defender and keeper Adrianna Franch’s positioning.
Sam Kerr slows down and hits it perfectly. She makes it seem effortless. The shot is so accurate Franch still cannot get it to it that is the quality of one of the best strikers in the world.
NWSL top scorer of all time scored 77 goals in 119 games in NWSL playing for Western New York Flash, Sky Blue FC, and Chicago Red Stars.
Lynn Williams
Full name: Lynn Raenie Williams
Date of birth: May 21, 1993
Place of birth: Fresno, California, United States
Height: 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in)
Position: Forward
Current team: Kansas City Current
is an American professional soccer player. She plays for the
Kansas City Currentin the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States national team. She is among the
NWSL top scorers of 2021
.
She played for and Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory in the Australian A-League Women and Western New York Flash previously.
Williams was one of the big stars of the 2016 NWSL season. She scored 11 goals which was the equal to Houston Dash forward Kealia Ohai for most goals in the league. Williams was awarded the Golden Boot as she had more assists than Ohai.
In the NWSL Playoffs, Williams scored two goals in extra time as the Flash upset the Portland Thorns in the semi-final and advanced to the Championship Game.
Her 124th-minute goal in the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League Championship is the latest goal scored in NWSL history. It will be remembered as a dramatic moment which reversed a championship result.
But it was also memorable in a unique way; Williams scored it with her head. She had not scored any goal with her head during the season, despite tying for the most goals scored in the league. Her coach, Paul Riley, told her earlier that day that he thought Williams might score with her head in the final.
Lynn Williams was tied for the Golden Boot with 11 goals. Williams capped it off by scoring when her team needed her the most.
When a minute was left in their season, Jessica McDonald whipped in a cross and Williams attacked it in the air with open eyes. The Western New York Flash went on to win in penalties, in large part to Lynn Williams.
Williams was named 2016 NWSL Most Valuable Players and was in the 2016 NWSL Best XI. In the 5tyh of July, 2018, he scored double in front of Red Stars. The second strike was a beauty. Her movement and balance in tight spaces is the key to her success.
In this match, the Red Stars were playing great defense work and minimizing the amount of space of Williams. But she finds a sliver of daylight to perfectly fire the shot while falling away from goal. It is an amazing goal from a player who can work in tight spaces.
