In this article, we are going to review one of the most important nations in football and pick the Best Spain XI of all time.

The Spain national team is surely one of the most glorious football teams in the world with so many achievements and trophies.Having participated in a total of 15 of 21 FIFA World Cups and qualifying consistently since 1978, Spain is one of the eight national teams to have been crowned worldwide champions.Having acheived valuable honors such as being the only national team with three consecutive major titles,the only to win back-to-back European Championships in 2008 and 2012 and the first European team to win a FIFA World Cup outside of Europe in 2010, make this team one of the greaests in the football history.

Born on 20 May 1981 in Madrid, Spain, Casillas began his career with the

youth team. At the age of 19, he won the Champions League title. Soon after, he became Real Madrid's first goalkeeper, winning two Champions League and La Liga titles in his first three seasons.

At the international level, the legend goalkeeper is the second most capped player in Spain's national team history with 167 international caps. The great Iker Casillas won many titles during his playing time, including IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper (five times), and was named the second-best goalkeeper of the 21st century.

Born on 23 March 1968 in Vélez-Málaga, Spain, Hierro started his youth caree in 1980. After 7 years of playing with Velez and

as the first team of his senior career where he had 58 appearances. Then he joined Real Madrid in 1989. He won five La Liga and three Champions League trophies with Real Madrid over 14 years. He also had spells in clubs such asAl Rayyan and Bolton Wanderers. With Spain, he played nearly 90 games within 13 years and appeared in four World Cups and two European Championships.

Regarded as one of the greatest Spanish midfielders, he could combine solid defensive play with a near-unlimited passing range. Being tall and physically strong, Hierro was successful as a defender.

Carles Puyol (Center-back)

is one of the best Spanish defenders of all time, Carles Puyol.Born on 13 April 1978 in La Pobla de Segur in Catalonia, Carles Puyol, played as a defender from the mid-1990s to the mid-2010s. He is regarded as one of the best players in his position in the 2000s. He ended his professional football career in 2014.Known as the seventh player in the history of the Spanish national team with the most matches played, Carles Puyol participated in three FIFA World Cups, a FIFA Confederations Cup, a European Championship, and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

At the club level, Carles Puyol took his first steps in the Spanish top division with the first team of

FC Barcelona

on 2 October 1999. In his 15 years with the club, he won five La Ligas, three Champions Leagues, and two Club World Cups.At the international level, Puyol made his debut with the Spanish national team in 2000. he won the 2008 European Championship and the 2010 World Cup.

Puyol retired from international football in 2013 after reaching the 100 caps during which he scored three goals. At the time of his retirement in June 2014 due to recurring injuries, Puyol was the second player to play the most matches for Barcelona behind his friend Xavi.

Jose Antonio Camacho (Left-back)

José Antonio Camacho Alfaro is the next player in the list of Best Spain XI of all time who will be positioned as a left-back.Born on 8 June 1955 in Cieza, Spain, Camacho started playing football from a very young age.

At club level, Camacho most notably played for Real Madrid.He started his senior club career in 1972 with

Albacete

and ended it in 1989 with Real Madrid.

Camacho made his first appearance in the Spanish national team at not yet 20. He won 80 caps with Spain. Playing his international career from 1975 to 1988, he participated in 1982 and 1986 FIFA World Cups, as well as Euro 1984 and 1988.At the age of 33, he retired from the international scene and started his coaching career. He also managed the national team for four years.

Sergio Ramos (Right-back)

Having scored eight goals and one assist proves the fact that the 35-year-old Spanish football player, is not only a defender. He is a pillar in his team. Regarded as one of the best defenders in the world, and of his generation, Ramos is a physically strong player who excels in the air due to his elevation, eye for goal, and heading accuracy, making him a goal threat on set-pieces.

He is also great in ball control and has such a good pace, as a defender. Being a competent and aggressive tackler is a threat for every team, which makes him one of the best soccer players in 2020.

Xavi Hernandez (Defending Midfielder)

The current manager and former player Xavier Hernández Creus is our last individual on this list. He is one of the Best La Liga midfielders of all time and is praised as a legendary footballer. Like his fellow teammate Iniesta, Xavi played almost all of his career with Barcelona and won several titles with them including eight La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles. Xavi is the second-most decorated Spanish player after Iniesta.It's worth mentioning that he is the record holder for most appearances at Barcelona with 767 appearances. He also is the first player in the club's history to play 150 European and FIFA Club World Cup matches combined.

Born on 25 January 1980 in Terrassa, Spain, Xavi joined the Barcelona youth club, La Masia when he was 11 and started football there. Then eventually in 1997, he got his way to the reverse and senior teams. His La Liga debut came on 3 October 1998 against valencia. Since then, he went on to play 15 seasons with Blaugranes and earned his place among the Best Spain XI of all time.

Xavi is renowned for many things. His passing skills, his ability to find and exploit space, agility, positional sense, his ability to control games, and so on. He was good at both scoring and assisting goals. Finally, On 21 May 2015, he left his old club and joined Al Sadd, won four titles, and then retired in 2019. He is currently managing Al Sadd.

Andres Iniesta (Central Midfielder)

Spanish central midfielder Andrés Iniesta Luján is currently playing and captaining in the Japanese club, Vissel Kobe. But he spent most of his career with Barcelona. He is one of the Best Barcelona midfielders of all time as well as one of The Best Spainish XI of All Time. In his 16th year-spell with Barca, he represented them 674 times, scored 57 and assisted 139 goals, and won 35 titles. He is the most decorated Spanish footballer of all time.

He won nine La Ligas and four UEFA Champions League titles and was a part of the squads that won two historic trebles in 2009 and 2015. He is an agile and versatile footballer whose ability to read the game, vision, balance, dribbling techniques, ball control, and more, placed him among the Best La Liga midfielders of all time.

He joined Barcelona's youth academy at the age of 12 after he immigrated from his birthplace, a small village in the province of Albacete, Castile–La Mancha named Fuentealbilla. Then in 2001, he joined the reserved team 2001 and a year later he got his way to the first team. Since then, he established himself as a playmaker and a key player with Barca. He also played with Spain and won 131 with them and scored 13 goals. He retired from his national team in 2018.

Luis Suarez Miramontes (Attacking Midfielder)

Luis Suarez Miramontes was a Spanish footballer who played in the 50s,60s, and early 70s. He played as an inside right and attacking midfielder and spend his career with Deportivo de La Coruna, Espana Industrial, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan,

Sampdoria

, and the Spain national team.Suarez is viewed as one of Spain's greatest players and also he is among the Best La Liga midfielders of all time. Suarez is the only Spanish-born player to win the Ballon d'Or and is known for his perceptive passing and explosive shot, and his elegant, fluid, graceful playing style.

Born on 2 May 1935, in A Coruna, Galicia, he started football with a youth team named Fabril and then began his senior career with the local team Deportivo de La Coruna and played 17 games for them. Then he joined Barcelona's reserve team Espana Industrial for most of the 1954–55 season. Then he got his way to Barcelona's first team. In his 6 year spell with Barca, he appeared in 65 matches and scored 30 goals.

Luis Suarez helped his team to win two LaLIga and two Copa Del Reys. Finally, in 1961 he left Barca and went to Italy, played for Inter Milan and Sampdoria, and retired in 1973.

Paco Gento (Left Winger)

Francisco Gento Lopez, usually referred to as Paco Gento played as an outside left forward or a left-winger for Real Madrid from 1953 till 1971. He almost spent all of his professional careers with the Vikings. He just had a one-year stint with Racing Santander making only 10 appearances.

The whites number 11 shirt, won numerous trophies with the club one of which we can mention his six European Cup final. This is the record for the most European Cup/Champions League wins of all time. As one of the Best Spain forwards of all time, he was a prolific technical footballer with extreme speed, great vision capable of both scoring and providing assists for his teammates. This creative and skillful winger was a lethal player for his opponents and when he was teamed up with other great individuals like Raymond Kopa, Alfredo Di Stefano, and Ferenc Puskas, the team became an undefeated force.

David Villa (Right Winger)

David Villa is regarded as one of the most successful strikers of his generation.Born on 3 December 1981 in Langreo, Spain, Villa used to play as a striker and was a member of the Spanish National team.Villa was a very good passer of the ball which allowed him to play a multi-functional role for his team. He was known for his perilous finishing skills and his dribbling ability.

David Villa made his international debut for Spain in 2005. He participated in four major tournaments and was a vital member of the Spain teams that won UEFA Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. list, we have the Withes former captain Raul Gonzalez Blanco. Regarded as one of the key players in history, he scored 323 goals within his 16-year Madrid spell which earns him second place in Real Madrid's all-time goalscorers list. Speaking of being amongst the top scores, Raul is also the fifth goalscorer in La Liga's history plus being the highest Spanish scorer in European leagues which contain his goals at Bundesliga's Schalke as well.

In 1999, IFFHS named him as the best striker in the world and was mentioned in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players in 2004. He became very close to receiving the 2001 Ballon d'Or but lost it to Liverpool's Michael Owen. He began his journey with the White's first team in 1994 after playing for Madrid's youth team, C team, and B team from 1992.

Despite being a goal-scoring center-forward or a supporting striker he was also very good at creating chances and assisting. His leadership and discipline made him a great captain and in total one of the Spain's Greatest XI.
