Hasan Salihamidzic

At the beginning of the list, we have the Bosnian former footballer, Hasan Salihamidzic. Currently, he is the sporting director of the club since 2017. But he was a player at Die Roten as well. He played for the club from 1998 till 2007 as a right midfielder and sometimes, a full back. 

Salihamidzic was born on 1 January 1977 in Jablanica, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina. His childhood nickname was "Braco" which means little brother because he had an older sister. His nickname changed to Brazzo by Which fans call him.

After spending his youth career with Turbina Jablanica, Velež Mostar, and Hamburger SV, he remained in Hamburger and began his professional career with them. Then, in the summer of 1998 h joined Bayern and instantly inserted into the club's starting line-up.

Known as an energetic and quick player, Salihamidzic was beneficial in Bayern 10 domestic title wins.He established himself as one of the fan favorites and many praise him as one of the Best Bayern Munich Midfielders of all time. He left the club and joined

after more than 230 appearances and scoring 31 goals.He also earned 42 caps and scored six goals for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team and is viewed as one of the most successful individuals on the national team.

Michael Ballack

The retired Michael Ballack is the second person on the list. Pelé named him as one of FIFA's 100 Greatest Living Players, and as the UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year in 2002. He only stayed at Die Roten for four years, but he was there at the right time. During his spell in Bayern, they won three Bundesliga titles and three DFB-Pokal titles.

Having a height of 1.89m, he was a tall force with physical strength who had a very powerful shot. Because of his tall shape, he was considered a goal-scoring individual who can defend as well. His versatility is another reason that justifies him as an excellent midfielder. He played in different midfield positions within his career. Also, his ability to use both feet gave him an advantage.

Born on 26 September 1976 in Görlitz, East Germany, Ballack has played for different clubs like Chemnitzer FC, 1. FC Kaiserslautern , and

.Then in 2002 he joined Bayern for €12.9 million. He gained early success with the club when they win the Bundesliga in 2002. He became a key factor in scoring goals, scoring 58 goals for Die Roten throughout his period. Ballack also made more than 100 appearances for the club.

He then left and signed to Chelsea on a free transfer.

Mehmet Scholl

Mehmet Tobias Scholl was an attacking midfielder who played for Bayern Munich in the early '90s till the late '00s. With more than 300 appearances and 87 goals, he is regarded as one of the Greatest Bayern Munich Midfielders of all time.

He also played for his national team. Scholl played 36 matches for the German national team between 1995 and 2002 and scored eight goals throughout that period.

Franck Ribéry

The Frenchman Franck Ribéry is currently playing for the Serie A club, Fiorentina. Ribéry was born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France on 7 April 1983. In 2000, he began his professional career with his hometown club, Boulogne making 29 appearances and six goals for the club within two seasons. Then he joined and played in other clubs such as Alès, Metz, Galatasaray, and Marseille till 2007 when he joined Die Roten.

Ribery made his competitive debut for Bayern on 21 July 2007 in a 4–1 victory against Werder Bremen, which he scored twice and also assisted on another.

Arjen Robben

The next footballer on the list of Best Bayern Munich Midfielders of all time   Arjan Robben.  He was born in 1984 in Netherland. He started football at an early age. He was signed by regional club FC Groningen. He transferred to PSV and then joined Chelsea.

HE stayed there just for two seasons. Robben's final appearance for the Blues came against Manchester United in the 2007 FA Cup Final.then he was sold to Real Madrid. It’s believed he was sold due to Robben’s constant injuries. Robben retained his key role in the Real Madrid midfield during the 2008–09 season, playing 35 times and scoring 8 goals.

In 2009, Robben moved to Bayern Munich for a transfer fee of around €25 million. He stayed for ten years in Die Roten and became one of the

Bastian Schweinsteiger

Paul Breitner

Former German footballer, Paul Breitner generally played nine years for Bayern throughout two different spells. He played as a full-back or box-to-box midfielder.Paul Breitner, whose name is in the list of Best Bayern Munich Midfielders of all time, was born on 5 September 1951 inKolbermoor, Bavaria, West Germany and actually started his professional career at Die Roten. Finally, in 1970, he signed Bayern Munich and stayed there four years in his first stint with the club. Some believe that four years truly defined him as a legendary player.He was an important individual in Bayern's games during that period and managed to win three Bundesliga titles, one DFB Pokal Cup, and the European Cup with the club.Capable of both defending and attacking, he was very versatile, creative, and skillful at linking the ball.

In 1974 he joined Real Madrid, stayed there for three years and won La Liga plus Copa del ray, moved to Eintracht Braunschweig for a year, then returned to Bayern Munich for his second stint.

Born on 13 September 1989 in Weilheim in Oberbayern, West Germany the German player has only played for Bayern Munich during his whole professional career.His senior career began with the club's reserve team in March 2008 in a Regionalliga match against SpVgg Unterhaching and, he scored a goal that game.

After a year he became a part of the first-team under the management of Jürgen Klinsmann. His full first-team debut came  Bundesliga match against Hamburger SV, in which he came as a substitute.Since then, Muller has been playing for Die Roten for more than ten years, having a notable performance in many of Bayern's matches.

He is a very versatile player and played in various attacking positions such as winger, attacking midfielder, second striker, and center-forward but he mainly plays as an attacking midfielder for the club. However, in Germany's national team he usually is placed in the right-wing.

He was born on 2 August 1968 in Niendorf, one of the quarters of Hamburg, Germany. During his youth career, he played in order for Bramfelder SV, Victoria Hamburg, and Borussia M'gladbach where he started his professional career. After three years he attracted Bayern and joined Die Roten in 1990.

He had a two-year spell at Munich, scoring 19 goals and attending in 65 games but after the re-signing of Lothar Matthaeus, he was forced to leave the club and joined

in 1994. Another reason that made him leave the club was his difficult personality which made it hard to get on with the Bayern coach at the time.

After 6 years of playing for La Viola and  Borussia M'gladbach, he returned to Bayern. He was declared as a captain of the club and not only won the champions league but also three Bundesligas. Lothar Matthaeus

The last person in the list of All-time Best Midfielders at Bayern Munich is Lothar Herbert Matthäus. He was the first-ever FIFA World Player of the Year in 1991 and became the only German to claim that honor.Matthaeus was born on 21 March 1961 in Erlangen, West Germany, and started playing in the 1.FC Herzogenaurach youth team. Later in 1979, he began his senior career with Borussia Mönchengladbach making 162 appearances within 5 years.

Then, he was transferred to Die Roten to stay there for 4 years. During that time with Bayern, he played as a  box-to-box midfielder. His powerful shots, excellent passing, tactics, and well-timed movement were famous. He managed to win the Bundesliga three times and DFB-Pokal twice throughout those 4 years. They also reached the European Cup final in 1987 but lost to Porto.He then left the club to join the Serie A club Inter Milan in 1988 and stayed there till 1992. It should be stated that he won the UEFA Champions League with Nerazzurri.

After Inter, he returned to Munich to stay there for 8 years and win four Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokals, and another UEFA Cup. Although during his second time with Die Roten he mostly played as a sweeper, no one cant deny that Lothar Matthaeus is one of the Best Bayern Munich Midfielders of all time. Unfortunately in 2000, he joined  MetroStars and left his old club with a total of 302 appearances and more than 70 goals. His longevity is another reason that put him on the list. He left bayern at the age of 40.

Matthaeus also played for West Germany and he lifted the World Cup trophy in the 1990 FIFA World Cup as the captain.
