Juventus is among the teams fined by UEFA for "racist behavior"
Following their 2-1 Champions League defeat earlier this month, social media footage showed the Bianconeri fans making discriminatory gestures as UEFA hit the club with a €15,000 fine.
Marseille, Nice, Eintracht Frankfurt, and
Juventusare the latest clubs that got charged by UEFA for racist or discriminatory behavior. Bianconeri’s visiting fans' behavior at PSG cost the club a €15,000 fine and a partial stadium closure suspension for one year.
Meanwhile,
Eintracht Frankfurtwas hit with several charges after fans ruined their away Champions League victory over Marseille last week.
An Eintracht fan appeared to give a Nazi salute as the club was charged with racist behavior and three other offenses. As well as getting the same punishment as Juve, UEFA fined the Bundesliga side a total of €45,000.
Eintracht’s opponents,
Marseille, were also charged for throwing objects, lighting fireworks, use of laser pointers, crowd disturbances, and blocking public passageways after their eventful defeat to the Germans.
UEFA ordered the French outfit to play their next Champions League game against Sporting Lisbon behind closed doors as they also have to close the Virage Nord stand for their game against Tottenham.
Marseille's domestic rivals
Nicehave also been ordered to play a European game behind closed doors due to incidents at both of their Europa Conference League matches this season against Koln and Partizan.
