Inter ready to gain the first point in CL - Inzaghi

The Italian coach hopes that his team can get a good result in tomorrow night's match.

Inter Milan

coach Simone Inzaghi claimed before the match against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League that they are ready to react to the recent results and needed more balance.

The Nerazzurri lost their first home game of the Champions League against Real Madrid and are now looking for their first point in the competition. After the match against Real, Inzaghi's team has won two and drawn one of their three games, and they are well prepared to win against their tough opponent. Now Inzaghi has expressed hope that his team can achieve a good result in tomorrow night's match and react to the defeat against Real Madrid.

“Shakhtar have made a great journey. More than 20 years have passed, and they have made a great journey coming close to the Europa League Final.

“In recent years, they have done excellent in the Champions League too.”

Asked if the game against Ukrainians will be decisive for the final outcome, Inzaghi said:

“Not yet, but certainly very important.

Shakhtar are a great team, very well trained, with great individuals.

“We must play a good game, knowing that we come from a good performance against Atalanta. I really liked the team and their reaction.”

“I ask for a team who are ready to react, ready to play football well,” Inzaghi said. “Those two things have been seen over the first six games.

“But I would like to see more balance, we attack with many players and develop a lot. But we might have to look for less difficult choices.

“Failing simple passes might lead to very dangerous counter attacks and transitions.”
