Tottenham reach agreement to sign Atalanta defender Cristian Romero
Tottenham have reportedly reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign Cristian Romero on a five-year contract.

left the club after six years and joined the Qatari side
Al-Duhail, with Spurs hoping to sign
Romero
as a replacement for the Belgian center-back.
According to reports in Italy, the North London club and
Atalantahave reached an agreement over the player’s transfer fee and Romero could leave for London this evening.
Spurs will pay €50 million plus €5 million add-ons to secure the services of the Argentinean center-back.
Romero played in 42 games across all competitions last season as Atalanta finished third in Serie A.
He also featured throughout this summer's Copa America and helped Argentina to win the tournament after 28 years.
The 23-year-old is the second Atalanta player to sign for Spurs this summer after
Pierluigi Gollini
completed his loan move to north London.
