Barcelona to sign replacements for Alba and Firpo

The Blaugrana are considering moves for Jose Gaya and Marcos Alonso in the summer transfer window.

Jordi Alba

has been heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou in recent weeks. The veteran left-back sees

Junior Firpo

as his back-up in Barcelona. However, according to

Mundo Deportivo

, both Alba and Firpo might end up leaving the Spanish giants in the summer.

Leeds United

are reportedly interested in buying Fripo, with Marcelo Bielsa being a big fan of the player.

Barcelona are planning to sign Valencia’s

Jose Gaya

as Alba's successor as they are ready to bid farewell with the experienced defender. Gaya's style of football is similar to Alba and the Blaugrana are keen to make him their new starting left-back. The 26-year-old’s current contract at Estadio Mestalla runs until 2023 and Valencia are not feeling any pressure to sell their star player ahead of the next season.

Barcelona are also eyeing a summer move for Chelsea’s

Marcos Alonso

as Firpo’s successor. The Spaniard has been struggling for game time under Thomas Tuchel and he can imagine a move to Camp Nou. Alonso is under contract with Chelsea until 2023, but he is expected to be available for an affordable price as Chelsea are open to negotiating a deal for him in the summer.
