Müller was annoying me on purpose - Flick

The German star has a very good relationship with his former coach.

Germany coach Hansi Flick believes he sometimes feels that Thomas Müller is harassing him on purpose.

Müller has worked directly with Flick over the last two seasons at

Bayern Munich

, and the 31-year-old star will now play for the German national team at Euro 2020. He has been called up to the German national team for more than a decade, during which time he has played 581 games for Bayern Munich, scoring 214 goals.

Now Flick, who will replace Joachim Low in the German national team after Euro 2020, claimed that he sometimes feels that Thomas Müller is deliberately doing things that bother him.

He told

Bayern Munich's website

: "

Thomas is a phenomenon for me.

"He doesn't always get everything right in the game, but he brings you significantly more moments of joy as a coach than moments when you're upset about him - for example, when he goes out to the corner when he shouldn't, loses the ball, and a counterattack emerges.

"Sometimes I almost have to laugh and have the feeling that he does this on purpose to annoy me a little and get the adrenaline going again, but he means so much for the team and this club, there will never be anyone like him again. What he has achieved in his career is unique. On top of that he is incredibly down to earth and a really good guy."
