Dortmund boss Edin Terzic gave an update on Jadon Sancho's injury

Edin Terzic gave an update on Jadon Sancho's injury after Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Paderborn, which saw the English starlet fall off because of a muscle injury.

Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic has mollified fears over Jadon Sancho's injury sustained in

DFB-Pokal

Tuesday's 3-2 win in extra time over Paderborn.

"It doesn't look dramatic, he felt his muscle and had a cramp," Terzic said on the 20-year-old.

"He worked a lot, ran a lot and also got into the game really well. He kept contributing well to our offensive play," added Terzic.

Die Borussen had the lead 2-0 for most of the play, but two late Paderborn goals made them go through extra time, and Erling Haaland scored the winning goal.

Emre Can

, who scored the opener, said Dortmund shouldn't have permitted Paderborn back in the game; however, he underlined that the victory is the thing that is important in the end.

"The extra-time was unnecessary. But ultimately it's a cup tie and the win is all that counts. In a month's time, nobody will be talking about that. We performed strongly up until the 2-0. Then we dropped off a bit. We weren't running the extra metre. That wasn't good. Then Paderborn came out fighting after half-time," said Can.

"They performed well, compliments to Paderborn. As I've already said, it's a cup tie. Many good teams have already been eliminated. Winning is all that matters – we managed that. Now we need to keep taking it one game at a time."
