Ramadan Sobhi Faces Doping Allegations: Impact on His Future
Pyramids FC received an official notification from the Egyptian Anti-Doping Agency, marking the beginning of procedures to monitor and regulate substance use in sports. The agency confirmed that Ramadan Sobhi, the star player, tested positive in a recent doping examination.
The crisis revolves around suspicions regarding Sobhi’s use of banned substances. During one of Pyramids FC’s matches in the African Confederation Cup last season, a sample was taken from Sobhi. After necessary analyses, the Anti-Doping Committee found violations.
As a first step in the investigative process, a hearing session has been scheduled for Ramadan Sobhi on June 6th. During this period, Sobhi will face temporary suspension to facilitate proper and fair investigations. The suspension is expected to remain in effect until the conclusion of the inquiry and final decisions are made regarding the case.
Pyramids FC has already excluded Sobhi from the team’s lineup for the upcoming match against El Gouna, following the official letter received from the Anti-Doping Agency.
