Canales: " It all happened very quickly"
Sergio Canales has joined Monterrey from Real Betis.
In July 2023, Canales, at 32, made his first abroad move when he signed a three-year contract with Liga MX team
C.F. Monterrey.He played 207 matches and scored 39 goals for Real Betis over five seasons.
Canales said about joining Monterrey that everything happened very quickly.
“It all happened very quickly. When the season ended, before the season ended I had decided my cycle at there had ended. I had always had it clear in my mind that I wanted a change, it always appealed to me. Then we went to the Nations League, we won it, but then when the championship finished, we started to speak and communicate.”

Canals has had a good start in Monterrey and has scored four goals for the team in eight matches.
