Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool: A Fourth Successive Goalless Draw!

After the two teams suffered defeats earlier this week, Chelsea and Liverpool faced each other at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. Despite many chances both sides had, the match ended as a goalless draw.

After a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa, Chelsea sacked their head coach Graham Potter as they dropped to the second half of the table. Meanwhile, Liverpool also suffered a 4-1 defeat in their previous fixture to Manchester City.

Chelsea dominated early in the first half as Felix and Havertz missed chances. Reece James thought he had given his side the lead with a stunning shot, however, his goal was ruled out for Fernandez's offside. Liverpool had a great chance through Gomez as his long-range shot was pushed behind by Kepa. Later in the first half, Fabinho's goal-bound effort was blocked by Fofana. The two sides settled on a goalless draw for the first half.

Kovacic missed a one-on-one opportunity in the 47th minute before Havertz scored two minutes later. The German midfielder's goal was ruled out due to a handball. Chelsea dominated the possession in the second half but failed to score a goal as the game marked the fourth successive goalless draw in all competitions between Chelsea and Liverpool.
