Fabio Capello compares Milan star Rafael Leao to Kylian Mbappe

Former AC Milan manager Fabio Capello has compared Portuguese star Rafael Leao to Kylian Mbappe.

AC Milan

will face Tottenham in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 round on Wednesday. Stefano Pioli’s side won the first leg at home with one goal.

Fabio Capello, who works as a pundit for Sky Sport Italia channel, believes Milan star

Rafael Leao

’s pace is similar to

Kylian Mbappe

. Leao has scored nine goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this season.

“Sometimes he is not focused, he would run behind an opponent but without the desire of winning the ball back,”

said Capello.

“However, he can be decisive in any game with a goal or an assist. Another important thing is that opponents are worried about him. He is one of the few players in Europe who easily dribbles opponents in one vs. one situations. In terms of pace, he is like Mbappé.”

Capello’s former teams Juventus and Roma faced each other at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night. Roma managed to beat Juventus with one goal.

Juventus forward Moise Kean came to the pitch in the 89th minute but was given a straight red card only 40 seconds later.

Capello was asked what would be his reaction if he was Kean’s manager.

He replied:

“What do you want to say to him? What he did mean he understood nothing, I’d waste time talking to him.

“This will reduce the respect from his teammates. He had to focus on the game but affected everyone instead. Surely, he knows that too. It’s something that should never happen. Probably, there was a foul before, but the referee didn’t see it and only spotted the reaction.”
