Reece James suffers a new injury in his Chelsea return

Graham Potter revealed that Reece James has recovered from the knee injury that caused him to miss the World Cup before their Tuesday clash against Bournemouth. However, the right-back was forced to come off the pitch as he picked up another injury.

After picking up a knee injury in October, the

Chelsea

right-back undertook a two-month "rehabilitation course” and missed the 2022 World Cup.

However, upon his return against Bournemouth,

Reece James

lasted only 51 minutes as he was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta. James was gesturing to the bench that he needs to come off with his knee causing the problem. His head is in his hands as the medical team came on. However, he was able to walk off the pitch.

Reece James was substituted during Chelsea's 2-0 Champions League victory against Milan in October as the Blues announced later that the right-back will undertake a two-month "rehabilitation course”, forcing him to miss the 2022 World Cup. Before the game,

Potter

was proud to see James overcoming missing the 2022 World Cup.
