Zinchenko: 'Diamond' Gabriel Martinelli has an unbelievable future

After Arsenal's strong start to the new Premier League season, Oleksandr Zinchenko praised the skills of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

After

Arsenal

's strong start to the new Premier League season,

Oleksandr Zinchenko

praised the skills of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. The 25-year-old moved from Manchester City to the

Emirates Stadium

this summer. He was one of

Mikel Arteta

's most important summer signings.

Along with teammate Jesus, who also chose to leave Premier League champions City for Arsenal, Zinchenko has hit the ground running and has been a critical part of wins over

Crystal Palace

and Leicester.

Martinelli has also shown what he can do by scoring in both games. Against Leicester, Jesus was in great form. The Brazilian scored twice, with his first goal being a beautiful curl into the top corner. He could have scored four or five goals, but Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward made some great saves.

Zinchenko isn't surprised by what he's seen from Jesus, and he also thinks "real diamond" Martinelli will be a big star in the future. The Ukrainian also talked about what it's like to compete with Kieran Tierney for a starting spot. For the first two games, he played left-back instead of Tierney.

How good could Martinelli be?

Zinchenko told Standard Sport, "He is great, a real diamond." "About him, I would say the same things I say about Gabriel Jesus. I can't believe how hard these two guys and everyone else work every day. Martinelli is still young, but he has a lot of great qualities. I'm pretty sure he's going to have a great life."

Why does Arsenal need Jesus?

Zinchenko said, "I never had any doubts about him because, based on his stats, he's a world-class player." It's also clear from how he works and acts daily in training. He shows what to do. He's a great player who always wants to score goals. He never stops working, and I'm so glad for him."

Kieran Tierney

During Arsenal's game against Leicester, Kieran Tierney runs with the ball. So far, Zinchenko has gotten more attention than Tierney. Who does Tierney like to play against? He's an outstanding player. "I watched his games even when I was at City," Zinchenko said.

"I think it's good for each of us to be in a race. We're going to push each other, and I think that's the key. We need to move on in this way. The most important thing is that we both want to do everything we can to help the team."
