Arsenal to make a move for Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca

’s technical director Edu has been eyeing a few attacking transfer targets, like

international has been impressing in the previous few years but he had his breakthrough last season, where he met the back of the net 16 times for Sassuolo.

Edu has done a lot of research on the 23-year-old and knows that the Serie A side are willing to cash in on him in the summer transfer window, while many other clubs are also keeping tabs on him.

He penned a new deal with the Neroverdi in April; however, that sealed his value which is around £35m.

According to reports from 90min, Arsenal are ready to make an official approach for the player.

Roberto Mancini is also impressed by the forward.

"He has everything to become a very, very good centre forward,

" Mancini said recently.

"He's fast, powerful and technical. He can still improve, he can become a really great striker."
