Pedro Goncalves' numbers have sparked a huge debate over whether or not to capitalize on a breakout season. The ability to score goals is a standout feature of Goncalves' style that has piqued the interest of rival clubs. The overperformance of his xG may, however, be viewed with caution based on one season. Despite the absence of data, his effectiveness in the last third is undeniably high and difficult to overlook.

Pote is near the mean and median of stats when compared to his contemporaries, with 3.51 dribbles/90 and 0.96 deep completions/90.

This puts analysts in a difficult position since, while the Portuguese kid stands out in an output measure, he doesn't stand out in input metrics that are crucial for a team's possession to advance from passive to potent.

In addition, his overall touches per game aren't particularly high. Goncalves, on the other hand, is particularly clinical in front of goal, averaging 3.92 effective attacking actions per game. This is evidenced by the fact that he also averages 2.8 touches in the box per 90 minutes and 2.28 shots per 90 minutes.
