Cadiz’s journey towards survival: A deadly victory over Sevilla

Cadiz remains optimistic about the possibility of staying in La Liga next season, having achieved an important victory over its neighbor Sevilla at its stadium with a score of one goal to none in the thirty-sixth round. This valuable victory is attributed to striker Sergi Guardiola, who scored the only goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

Cadiz continues in its positive results series with its second consecutive victory, which raised its score to 32 points in the eighteenth place, and it built only a two-point difference from the survival zone, with the end of the season approaching with two rounds.

On the other hand, Sevilla’s score stopped at 41 points in the twelfth place after it suffered defeat for the second time in a row.

In another match, Rayo Vallecano achieved a tough victory over Granada, which belongs to the second division league, with a score of 2-1 at its stadium, despite playing with ten players since the fifth minute.

Despite the numerical reduction, Vallecano succeeded in shaking the net of its guest in the 23rd minute through Logun, then De Frutos added the second goal ten minutes before the end of the match.

Granada scored a goal in the 89th minute through Bouie, but it was not enough to change the course of the game.

With this victory, Vallecano raised its score to 38 points in the tenth place, confirming its stay in La Liga for the next season, while Granada’s position did not change, which will continue its journey in the second division.
