Sevilla imposes a draw on Manchester United
Own goals from Malacia and Harry Maguire saw Sevilla salvage a 2-2 draw against Manchester United in their Europa League quarter-final first leg at Old Trafford
overturned a two-goal deficit to earn an exciting 2-2 draw against
Manchester United, in the match that was held at Old Trafford in the first leg of the
European Leaguequarter-finals.
Manchester United scored the double:
Marcel Sabitzerin the first two minutes (14–21) while the Seville goal came through a friendly fire, as
Malaciaaccidentally scored into his own net in the 84th minute and
Harry Maguirefollowed in the 93rd minute.
United started the match strongly opening the scoring early in the first minute through
Sanchobefore the goal was ruled out for offside.
United opened the scoring in the 14th minute after
Fernandezsent a magic pass through to Sabitzer inside the area who hit the ball into the net.
United added the second goal in the 21st minute in a similar way after

United almost added a third goal in the 32nd minute after Fernandez hit a ball from inside the area, which hit Sabitzer and changed its direction but Bono excelled in stopping it.
And from a quick counterattack by United in the 61st minute,
Anthonymanipulated Fernando before he hit a curved ball from inside the area that hit the post.
And the Andalusian team tried to reduce the difference in the 76th minute with a shot from
Rakiticfrom the edge of the area, which went wide of the goal.
United almost added a third goal in the 82nd minute after
Weghorstpaved a distinguished ball for Malacia inside the area to hit a ball that Fernando pushed into a corner before it hit the net.
And Seville succeeded in reducing the difference in the 84th minute taking advantage of a double mistake from Malacia after he first failed to clear a cross inside the area and then followed the ball
Navas, sending a cross that collided with Malacia and changed its direction, deceiving
De Geaand entering the net.
Sevilla searched for an adjustment in the 89th minute with a powerful shot from
Susofrom outside the area, which was blocked by De Gea.
In the first minute of stoppage time
Youssef En-Nesyrifollowed a cross, hitting a header that De Gea shone in sending to a corner kick.
And the Moroccan international Youssef Al-Nusairi, adjusted the score for Seville in the second minute of stoppage time by rising to a cross with a header that hit Maguire’s face and settled into the net, so the match ended in a draw (2-2).
