Guardiola says players should be extra cautious after Walker's scandal

The Sun published CCTV footage that shows Man City's fullback pulling down his trousers in a bar. With Cheshire Police confirming their investigation, Pep Guardiola insists players should be extra cautious nowadays.

Kyle Walker appeared on CCTV footage, published by The Sun, with friends at a bar where he apparently pulled down his pants, with the newspaper alleged walker exposing himself indecently. Guardiola insisted in his Friday press conference it was a private issue and he would not discuss Walker's conduct.

"We solved it internally, speaking with him," Guardiola said. "Of course, this is not the place to talk about private situations."

Asked if players needed to be extra cautious nowadays, Guardiola said: "Yes, definitely, it's completely different than years ago, definitely.

"They know it already. When you open the door at home you have to know you will be filmed, whatever you do. It's part of the society."

City will face a Crystal Palace side that has not won any of their last seven Premier League home games against City. However, City has dropped more points in away games than they did in the whole of last season.

Guardiola said: "Every game away in the Premier League is difficult. Crystal Palace in previous seasons, especially at home [in Manchester], we've struggled a lot to get results."
