West Ham eyes a summer move for Man United’s Anthony Martial

After a €60m move from AS Monaco in 2015, Martial failed to perform up to expectations mainly due to fitness problems. Now apparently United is considering offloading the French striker in the summer with West Ham and Monaco interested.

West Ham

is surprisingly struggling in the Premier League as they are currently in the 18th position with just 20 points. With Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio performing under the expectations, the London club will be eager to add more quality to their frontline in the next season if they avoid relegation.

According to

teamTALK

, West Ham is interested in signing Manchester United striker

Anthony Martial

as the Frenchman can be a superb acquisition for them. teamTALK journalist Ben Jacobs told of the possibility of the transfer:

"Anthony Martial is another one to watch. West Ham have really liked the player in the past and a Monaco return is not unthinkable either. It’s a shame really because everyone at Manchester United likes Martial. But fitness has been a problem and that might well provoke a move.

"

In addition to Martial, the Hammers also have shown interest in Roma's Tammy Abraham.
